CWIT offers a variety of fun and informative programs for high school students interested in pursuing a career in information technology or engineering and learning more about what UMBC has to offer:

  • Before January 15th of their senior year, high school students may apply for the CWIT Scholars Program, which is a 4-year merit scholarship program offered at UMBC;
  • High school junior girls that are interested in learning more about IT and engineering fields may apply to participate in CWIT’s annual Bits & Bytes Program, offered over President’s Day weekend in the Spring;
  • High school students interested in visiting UMBC to learn more about the STEM Scholars Programs may prompt their teachers or staff at their high school to nominate them for a STEM Scholars Preview Day, or set up a field trip for their entire class to UMBC for an Inspiring Scholars Day.
